B & M Precision, Inc. is owned by Miroslav "Miro" Mitusina, an immigrant from the Czech Republic. Miro was born, raised and educated in Czechoslovakia. Miro lived under the communist system until he was 26 years old. Miro defected from Czechoslovakia via the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria and immigrated to the United States soon afterward. Miro was determined to work hard and to make something of himself. After arriving in the U.S. with $20 in his pocket, he worked two, sometimes three jobs at the same time. It took Miro 15 years to save enough money to start his own business.
In 1978 he and Joe Bowman started a two-man machine shop in Ruskin and called it B & M Precision, Inc. Mr. Bowman retired from B & M many years ago. Since the beginning, B & M has expanded several times and as of today has over 300 employees, with 2 buildings on 50 acres and 240,000 square feet of manufacturing space. While we are happy with our progress thus far, we continually strive to develop new products to continue keeping up with today's technologies. B & M strives to provide the highest quality products to our customers at a minimum cost.
